I wasn’t overly stoked on Chile. Patagonia and San Pedro de Atacama aside, I think you can find similar attractions elsewhere (and for cheaper) on the continent. I’m not saying don’t visit (I am glad I did), but if you’re on a timeline and want to see South America I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here. It was alright.
